Note from Bruce
Short version:
Your privacy is respected as much as reasonably possible and your information is kept secret and not shared with or sold to external parties.
Long version:
I do my very best to respect the privacy of those around me. While I may be highly transparent about my own life and encourage others to do the same to promote growth, authenticity, and connection (both with yourself and others), I understand that some people choose to not publicly share things about their life.
I will not share, sell, or do anything malicious with the information you provide me. I will do my best to gain permission, although if you’ve posted something publcly (such as a comment or forum post), I probably won’t contact you for permission. I’m pretty liberal with my usage of things posted publcly (within the limits of applicable laws), but I do my very best to respect the wishes of those whom I communicate with in “private” (i.e. email, phone, etc. If we speak in person and you don’t want me to share something, please let me know).
I will do my best to ensure that if you subscribe to any services, you can reasonably unsubscribe.
If you send me feedback I may reply to your feedback if you include your email address or other contact details, and perhaps contact you at a later date if I feel it’s appropriate, but that is all. I won’t do anything like auto-subscribe you to mailing lists without your permission.
If, at any time, you no longer want me to use your email address to contact you, let me know and I’ll honour your request.
If you’ve posted something publicly on my website, it’s unlikely that I will delete or edit it, unless I deem it reasonable to do so. If you post something publicly on my site, please do so responsibly knowing that (A) others might have access to it, and (B) you might not be able to remove it (either from this site, or any other website that links to, quotes, or archives it). If you want something kept private, don’t share it publicly.
Also acknowledge that there is some inherent risk in sharing anything, so if something unexpected happens, please refrain from sending an angry, pitch-fork wielding mob after me.
Contact me instead and we’ll try work something out.
I will do my best to respect the privacy of others here at BruceAchterberg.com, as well as in life in general. If you feel I’ve slipped up, please contact me.
I may change or update the information on this page. Each time I do, I’ll make a note of when I last updated this page (scroll to the top of this page to see when I last changed this page). You’re responsible for keeping up-to-date with changes I make, but in general, I’ll do my best to respect, honour, and keep your privacy private.
Privacy policy re: (paid or free) services I offer
Intuitive readings and Akashic record readings
If you book or have agreed to have a reading with me (whether it’s an Akashic record reading or another type of reading), when you submit your details to me using this form, you’ll be asked if you give me permission to store your information in my secure, private client database.
Specifically, this is what is shown on that page:
Do you give me permission to store:
1. the information you’ve provided me here.
2. notes or records of information from or for your reading.
… in my secure, encrypted client records (1) in case you book another reading with me, and (2) for my personal reference?
——————————–
If you say no, the only information I keep is:1. your full name.
2. your contact details (i.e. phone number, Skype address, or email address).
3. correspondence (i.e. emails, letters, etc).
4. your website address, anything you add, say, or ask, and how you found my website (if you provide me that info here).
Any other records, notes, as well as details you’ve provided here will be deleted once they’re longer needed for your reading.
Read my privacy policy to learn what I do (and don’t do) with your information:
www.bruceachterberg.com/privacy-policy/
Whether you give me permission to store your information or not (see the above quoted text for more info on what information I store), I will honour your request and always do my best to store any of your information securely (I use data encryption where possible to ensure as much security and privacy as possible).
If you request or give me permission to give you a reading (I consider any “intuitive counseling” work I do, which may involve me simply speaking with you about any issue and passing on any guidance, to be a “reading”) but don’t, or don’t need to submit your details for a particular reading, the only personal information I keep (assuming you give or make this information available to me) is:
-
1. your full name.
2. your contact details (i.e. phone number, Skype address, or email address).
3. correspondence (i.e. emails, letters, etc).
4. your website address, anything you add, say, or ask, and how you found my website (if you provide me that info here).
5. chat logs (if we speak over some sort of chat client). If we speak over Skype, I will only record the call if you’ve been made aware that that’s what I do for the specific reading you’re getting, or (if it hasn’t been made clear I record the skype call for the particular reading you’re getting) if I’ve asked your permission.
If you have any specific requests or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I will not knowingly collect your information without your permission or consent. When I do collect your information, what I do with it will be explained on this page. If you’d like to know what I’ve done with your specific information and have any questions about what I do with it, or any specific requests, please contact me.
